Tengiz Tsertsvadze – Situation is called pandemic when virus spread goes beyond 2 continents

The situation is called a pandemic when virus spread goes beyond 2 continents – Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases told Georgian First Channel when commenting about declaring of COVID-19 as pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).

“Pandemic has been de-facto long ago and everybody knew about that. Simply, the World Health Organization declared the virus as pandemic today. Don’t pay much importance to it,” Tsertsvadze said.

According to Tsertsvadze, the WHO considered that the virus has already comprised big masses of people, the virus cases increase every day, especially in Europe.
