The Ministry of Justice of Georgia will continue its work to maintain visa-free regime with the EU countries, – Tea Tsulukiani, the candidate for the Minister of Justice of Georgia stated at the joint sitting of the four committees of Parliament.

The candidate for the Minister of Justice said that the Georgian justice system had been part of the EU space since June 27. Tsulukiani also noted that Georgia will continue to effectively protect the state’s interests in the Strasbourg and Hague courts.

“The Ministry of Justice will continue its fight and work to maintain visa-free regime with EU countries. We have a very important role to play together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, border management structures and our police, and we will remain in this cooperation. The agreement with Eurojust has been signed and has been in force since 27 June. You know that Georgia’s justice system in a European sense does not only mean the Ministry of Justice, but it also means the prosecutor’s office, the courts. Since June 27, our entire justice system has been part of the EU space. We will continue to effectively protect the state’s interests in the Strasbourg and the Hague courts, and when we chair the Council of Europe, the Ministry of Justice will be the initiator of the European Conference on Restorative Justice, ” – Tea Tsulukiani said.

Tea Tsulukiani is present in the joint committees’ sitting of parliament within the framework of expression of confidence to the reshuffled government.
