Tea Tsulukiani calls on presidential candidates for being careful when talking about August War
Tea Tsulukiani, Justice Minister called on Salome Zurabishvili, an independent presidential candidate and other presidential candidates for being careful when talking about the August 2008 War. Tsulukiani made this statement in “Moambe – Day Topic” of First Channel.
“I summon everybody for making cautious and weighted statements because it refers not only to party issue. . . We would better choose other topics for a quarrel,” Tsulukiani stated.
Tsulukiani was asked about the ongoing investigation into August 2008 Georgia-Russia War in The Hague Court and whether she considered that the statements made by the presidential candidate supported by the ruling team would have a negative effect on the continuing investigation.
“If our country is not united during our lifetime, we have to leave it to future generations. The main issue is not making political statements but united Georgia, court decisions whether it is Strasbourg Court or The Hague where it will be written in the black color on white that Georgia is united with Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions,” Tsulukiani stated.
