Tbilisi to host regional forum on sustainable development on June 5-6
The capital city will host the Tbilisi Regional Forum on Sustainable Development on June 5-6, announced Mayor Kakha Kaladze during a municipal government meeting.
Kaladze emphasised that the forum serves as an effective platform for sharing experiences, modern approaches, and innovative ideas.
“Our city continues its long-standing tradition by hosting the Tbilisi Regional Forum on Sustainable Development under the theme ‘The Role of Peace in Sustainable Socio-Economic Development’ on June 5-6. The Tbilisi Local Economic Development Forum has been held for years, providing a valuable space for debates and discussions and fostering long-term partnerships. Over time, the number of participants and the scope of topics have expanded, transforming the event into a regional platform for sustainable development in Tbilisi—an effective venue for exchanging experiences, modern strategies, and fresh ideas,” Kaladze stated.
He further noted that the forum will gather members of the Georgian government, municipal mayors and representatives of local councils (Sakrebulo), as well as local and international speakers, experts from various fields, and representatives from the business sector, academia, and the Diplomatic Corps.
“The forum will address topics such as sustainable economic growth, accessible and innovative healthcare services, renewable energy development, modern trends in construction, the real estate market, sustainable tourism and hospitality, investments in cutting-edge technologies, spatial planning, transport reform, and more.
We hope that the Tbilisi Regional Forum on Sustainable Development will foster long-term partnerships and contribute to the prosperity and growth of our region,” Kaladze concluded.
