Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the alleged crime committed by Formula TV against film director and politician Giorgi (Goga) Khaindrava.

According to the statement released by the Prosecutor’s Office, Goga Khaindrava was questioned at the Investigation Department in the status of a witness.

“On June 16, 2026, the investigation department of the Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office, under Article 373 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, launched an investigation into the fact of false accusation.

The initiation of the investigation was based on a statement by the lawyers defending the interests of the film director Giorgi (Goga) Khaindrava regarding a possible crime committed by Formulas TV station.

Goga Khaindrava was questioned as a witness. All investigation activities will be conducted, and the society will be informed,” the statement reads.
