Tbilisi Police seize large quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances, detain one person
Officers from the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have arrested a person identified as B.A., born in 1991, on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage, and sale of substantial amounts of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
According to the Ministry, during a search of the suspect’s personal and residential premises in Ponichala, law enforcement officials uncovered a significant quantity of drugs and 491 pills of psychotropic substances, packaged in 297 units and prepared for distribution.
The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260, 260-Quarter, and 261 of the Criminal Code, which carry penalties of up to 20 years’ imprisonment or life imprisonment.
