Tbilisi Mayor unveils campaign video, affirming: Tbilisi has always been celebrated in song

“Tbilisi is a city that has always been sung about, is being sung about, and I am confident it will continue to be so in the future,” declared incumbent Tbilisi’s Mayor, Kakha Kaladze, during the launch of Georgian Dream’s campaign video.

During his speech, Kakha Kaladze also expressed his gratitude to the head of Georgia’s government, as well as to Tbilisi and its residents, for their support and solidarity.

“We would like to present to the public a musical video celebrating our country and the beautiful city of Tbilisi. Tbilisi is a city that has always been sung about, is being sung about, and I am confident it will continue to be so in the future. It is a city that we all hold dear; our capital, stunning and full of enchanting cultural monuments, diverse religions, and vibrant diversity. Naturally, all of this requires care, appreciation, and preservation. I am proud that, by God’s grace, I have the opportunity to serve this city and its people. The video we are sharing with you highlights Tbilisi’s uniqueness and the love we feel for it,” declared Kakha Kaladze.

According to him, Tbilisi will undoubtedly triumph in the local self-government elections on October 4.

“We are continuing with the election campaign, holding daily meetings with the people. I want to thank you for the support and solidarity we receive at every turn. It’s a tremendous motivation for me when I meet citizens on the street who express their gratitude, solidarity, and support. I am confident that on October 4, we will certainly succeed; our capital will prevail, and our country will thrive. Peace to Georgia, and more prosperity for Tbilisi!” said Kakha Kaladze.

The musical video was unveiled to the public by Kakha Kaladze, the current Mayor of Tbilisi and the mayoral candidate for Georgian Dream, alongside Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

The video’s creator is musician Zaza Nozadze. According to Nozadze, as an ordinary Tbilisi resident and a son of the city, it was a great honour for him to work on Gogi Tsabadze’s masterpiece. He expressed his gratitude to the campaign team for the opportunity and wished the Tbilisi mayoral candidate success.

According to the Tbilisi City Hall, the event was attended by members of the Cabinet of Ministers and Parliament, as well as representatives from the arts, culture, and sport sectors.
