Tbilisi Mayor says government not to allow anyone to undermine Georgia's interests

“We are not scared by sanctions. Neither Kaja Kallas nor anyone will be allowed to undermine Georgia’s interests,” said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, remarking on the statement of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

According to Kakha Kaladze, the Georgian government guides with state interests.

“We will not be scared by sanctions. We defend our country, and state interests. Kaja Kallas will not be the Georgian people’s boss. Let them succeed in looking from above and giving directives to others but us. Neither Kaja Kallas nor anyone will be allowed to use Georgia’s interests for their countries’ interests or undermine Georgia’s interests as it happened in the case of other countries.

Kaja Kallas and similar high-ranking officials are in the minority. Radicals and phoney politicians are in the minority. Everybody will have to reconcile with this. The vast majority of the country supported the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia,” he said.
