Student Festival 2026 wrapped up with a celebratory closing ceremony, as winners across various categories scooped medals and cash prizes.

Alongside Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze attended the event and addressed the students.

“You are the people who, through new ideas, knowledge, and hard work, must stand by our homeland, because the role of every young person is exceptionally vital for the prosperity and future of our country. The Student Festival is a space that unites the talent, skills, and creativity of so many young people. Consequently, I believe that the experience you have gained throughout this festival will help you better showcase your capabilities, while the connections you have formed here will bring you like-minded peers to turn many positive ideas into reality,” Kakha Kaladze stated.

The Mayor noted that Studfest 2026 was a massive undertaking, drawing in more than 20,000 students from 42 public and private higher education institutions across Georgia.

“Every single team that participated in the tournaments held as part of the festival is a winner. This is an occasion where nobody loses. Although the festival has come to an end, we are not saying goodbye. Our cooperation will continue. Tbilisi Municipality operates numerous youth programmes in culture, sports, education, and social entrepreneurship. We stand ready to support and assist you in turning your potential into reality. I am confident that, together, we will deliver many interesting and important projects for both our city and our country,” Kaladze remarked.

The Mayor went on to thank the students for taking part, as well as representatives from all relevant agencies for delivering the festival to such a high standard.

Student Festival 2026 opened in Rustavi on May 1 and drew to a competitive close on June 14 with a charity fun run in Tbilisi. In total, 45 educational, cultural, and sporting tournaments were held in Tbilisi and all major cities across Georgia.
