A protest is underway in Tbilisi, with participants initially gathering near Tbilisi State University before marching along Rustaveli Avenue toward the Parliament building.
Demonstrators are rallying under the slogans “No to the Russian regime” and “Protect EU visa-free travel”, carrying banners with various messages, as well as Georgian and European Union flags.
During the march, protesters also stopped at the election headquarters of Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze on Melikishvili Avenue, where they voiced slogans and chants.
Representatives of several opposition parties, including those boycotting the October 4 elections, are also taking part in the demonstration.
