Tbilisi City Court discussing imposition of punitive measures against Lelo's Japaridze
Tbilisi City Court discusses the imposition of punitive measures against Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of the Lelo party.
The plaintiff side demands bail in the amount of GEL 50.000 without any additional activities on the fact of Badri Japaridze’s having failed to comply with the requirements of the interim fact-finding commission.
Badri Japaridze believes that the current repressive regime uses the Prosecutor’s Office and court as tools for retribution against opponents.
“We have repeatedly said that this is a new wave of repression on the part of the Georgian Dream. No law was violated and this so-called investigative commission established with the violation of the Constitution, aims to oppress opponents. We are ready for any challenge,” he said.
