Tamar Chugoshvili – We plan to increase parliamentary control on government

Consultations on governmental changes are ongoing – First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, Tamar Chugoshvili said. However, Chugoshvili refrained from specifying the institutions where changes might take place.

Chugoshvili said that Mikheil Janelidze, Foreign Minister had expressed wish to quit post. She also claimed that the ruling team planned to increase parliamentary control on the government.

The Parliamentary Majority presented Mamuka Bakhtadze, former Finance Minister as candidate for post of Prime Minister. PM Giorgi Kvirikashvili resigned on June 13.
