We can say with certainty that NATO-Georgia partnership is stronger than ever, NATO allies are fully supporting Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations, – Tacan Ildem, Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy of NATO stated.
Tacan Ildem sent a video address to the participants of the Strategic Communications Forum: Multi-stakeholder Solutions for Strengthening Georgia’s Democratic Narrative.
In his address, he talked about the importance of NATO-Georgia relations and strategic communication.
“NATO allies are fully supporting Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations. At the Brussels summit meeting, the leaders of all 29 states reiterated that Georgia will become a NATO member. This is in line with the decision made at the Bucharest summit in 2008. They once again reiterated the support of Georgia’s territorial integrity in its internationally recognized borders. We will continue to work with our Georgian friends in order to prepare Georgia for membership”, – Tacan Ildem said.
According to him, Georgia has made an impressive progress in terms of reforms, including consolidation of democratic institutions, economic development, security and more efficient institutions of defense and modernization of the armed forces.
