Strong wind damages infrastructure in Batumi

Late yesterday night, Batumi experienced strong winds that caused significant damage to the city’s infrastructure. The disaster resulted in the uprooting of perennial trees, damage to several light vehicles, and the blowing off of roofs from residential buildings. The strong winds also caused damage to electricity and outdoor lighting poles, as well as municipal bus stops.

In response to the situation, Batumi City Hall is actively engaged in measures to address the disaster. Prompt efforts are being made to clear the roads of fallen trees, and City Hall services are working in emergency mode to manage the situation and carry out necessary repairs.
