Strong Georgia-Lelo’s Japaridze views protecting state, people from severe harm as key task
“Our objective is to protect our state and people from potential severe harm,” said Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of Strong Georgia-Lelo, following the meeting with British, German and French Ambassadors to Georgia.
“Ambassadors of our friend countries attended the meeting. The key task is how to prevent the potential irreparable harm initiated by Georgian Dream. The primary objective is to protect our state and our people from the potentially dire consequences that this could bring about, and this was the central subject of discussion,” he said.
Badri Japaridze confirmed that he intends to attend the hearing of the lawsuit seeking to declare the activities of five opposition political parties unconstitutional and to ban them in the Constitutional Court.
He noted that the meeting participants did not discuss court issues with ambassadors.
A meeting with leaders of opposition parties was held at the British Embassy in Georgia. British Ambassador to Georgia Gareth Ward, German Ambassador to Georgia Barbara Voss and French Ambassador to Georgia Olivier Courteaud attended the meeting.
Badri Japaridze from Strong Georgia-Lelo, Irakli Pavlenishvili from the United National Movement (UNM), Giga Bokeria from the Federalist Party and Nika Gvaramia from the Coalition for Change met with the ambassadors.
