Strong Georgia-Lelo leaders meet with mayoral candidates from various cities

Strong Georgia-Lelo leaders have met with the mayoral candidates from various cities.

At a working meeting held at the central headquarters of Strong Georgia-Lelo, party leaders assessed the pre-election environment and the current situation across the regions.

Following the meeting, Badri Japaridze, one of the Lelo leaders, explained that the primary aim was to review the progress of the pre-election campaign. He emphasised that the opposition is prepared to fight for every vote and to mobilise voters to the fullest on Election Day.

“We convened with the Strong Georgia-Lelo’s candidates from various regions to evaluate how the campaign is progressing. Clearly, the playing field is entirely unequal. The Georgian Dream is employing tried-and-tested tactics, intimidation, bribery, and influence, to sway voters. Nonetheless, our candidates must stay aligned with the right principles. Alongside our partners, Gakharia for Georgia, we are committed to transforming this bleak situation. Despite the unfair environment, our candidates are committed to fighting for every vote, safeguarding each one, and maximising voter mobilisation on election day. Every opposition vote weakens the Georgian Dream.

The individuals we met today are deeply familiar with the issues facing our fellow citizens. Backing these candidates means supporting positive change,” Japaridze added.
