Strong Georgia-Lelo in Brussels: Tbilisi mayoral candidate Kupradze to meet Brussels' Mayor

Today, Strong Georgia-Lelo chairman Mamuka Khazaradze and joint mayoral candidate for Tbilisi Irakli Kupradze departed for an official visit to Brussels.

According to Strong Georgia-Lelo’s press service, electoral campaign manager Tazo Datunashvili, who is in the European capital to plan the visit, will meet leaders of the Strong Georgia-Lelo.

“High-level meetings are planned in the European capital, including a meeting between Tbilisi mayoral candidate Irakli Kupradze and Brussels Mayor Philippe Close. The purpose of the visit is to discuss details of the future Tbilisi-Brussels partnership, both within the framework of cultural and economic cooperation, which envisages planning and implementing joint infrastructure and educational projects,” states the information from Strong Georgia-Lelo.

Furthermore, as Lelo’s electoral campaign manager, Tazo Datunashvili, declared, the meetings in Brussels are crucial for future relations with the European capital.

“We are in Brussels with the joint mayoral candidate for Tbilisi, Irakli Kupradze. We have meetings in European structures, but what is most important is that we have a high-level meeting with the mayor of central Brussels. This will be a face-to-face meeting, during which we will discuss future cooperation between our cities and, naturally, address the current situation in Georgia. You should recall that Brussels’ mayor is a quite significant representative of European political circles, an influential politician in Belgium, so this meeting is crucial for our future relations with the European capital,” declared Tazo Datunashvili.
