Strategy Aghmashenebeli's Vashadze: Oath at April 9 Memorial represents our commitment to national unity

“The oath taken at the April 9 Memorial is a solemn vow made before those who sacrificed themselves for Georgia’s independence. It signifies our commitment to fight relentlessly for democracy, sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and our homeland,” stated Giorgi Vashadze, the Strategy Aghmashenebeli party leader.

He emphasized that the essence of this oath lies in the quest for profound national unity.

“We pledge before those who gave their lives for Georgia’s independence that we will strive tirelessly for democracy, sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and our homeland. Most importantly, the core of this oath is the pursuit of great national unity. This should be the mission of us all. Our country is currently grappling with a significant crisis. The solution does not lie in the presence of the parents of political prisoners but in the liberation of those prisoners, the conduct of fair elections, and the stabilization of our nation. This is the path out of our crisis,” Vashadze remarked.

Regarding Paata Burchuladze’s political prospects, Giorgi Vashadze expressed his respect for him: “I hold Paata Burchuladze in high regard. He is a distinguished Georgian and a person of international calibre. We must stand united during this challenging time. Our singular mission is to safeguard Georgia. National unity is our guiding principle, and our nation will thrive with the support of strong allies,” Vashadze concluded.

On Rustaveli Avenue, at the April 9 Memorial, rally participants joined Paata Burchuladze in taking the oath together.
