State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality holds introductory meeting with UNICEF Representative

Tea Akhvlediani, Georgian State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, held an introductory meeting with Isabella Castrogiovanni, the newly appointed Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Georgia.

The State Minister familiarized Isabella Castrogiovanni with the progress and plans of the reconciliation and engagement policy that aims to improve socio-economic conditions of conflict-affected locals and restore dialogue and trust between artificially divided communities.

The State Minister focused on the dire human rights and humanitarian situation in the occupied regions. In her turn, the UNICEF Representative pledged support and cooperation with the State Minister’s Office activities.
