State grant program to upgrade qualifications abroad to resume from 2026
The state grant program that allows employees of public and budgetary organizations to upgrade their qualifications and develop professionally abroad will resume from 2026, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Affairs reported.
“This year, as a result of the second announcement of the program and based on the decision of the commission, 18 people employed in public institutions and budgetary organizations received a state grant. The winning contestants will gradually depart for various training centers and universities from November 2025 to May 2026.
The program has been implemented by the Center for International Education (CIE) since 2014. The International Department of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Affairs will continue the program from 2026.
“The competition will be announced annually. Employees of public and budgetary organizations will have the opportunity to improve their professional skills and apply their gained knowledge in their organizations upon their return to Georgia,” the Ministry of Education said.
