SSSG detains former employee, current MIA officer, for classified information leaking

The General Inspection of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG), in collaboration with the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), through a joint operation, detained a former SSSG employee, a current MIA officer, for leaking classified information.

According to the SSSG, the investigation is in progress under Article 321 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

“The State Security Service will always be particularly strict and intransigent towards any, even small-scale, leakage of internal information, and anyone who commits such an act will be strictly punished,” the SSSG said.
