SSG: Occupation forces unlawfully detain two Georgian citizens

Occupation forces unlawfully detained two Georgian citizens near Ghromi and Balaani villages, the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG) reported.

The SSG said it had activated a hotline of the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) and notified co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions (GID) and international partners to release the detainees shortly.

The SSG underscored that “the occupation forces bear full responsibility for the destructive actions carried out in the occupied regions of Georgia and along the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL).”
