Special weighing systems to be installed on highways and roads

Georgian Infrastructure Minister Revaz Sokhadze announced that special weighing systems will be installed on Georgia’s highways and roads.

According to Sokhadze, the systems will measure the weight of heavy trucks. As Sokhadze stated in the GPB First Channel’s Business Partner program, one of the main problems for Georgian roads is the traffic of overloaded trucks.

“We are working on installing special weighing systems on our highways that will measure the weight of heavy trucks. One of the main problems affecting our roads is the movement of overloaded freight vehicles, which causes damage to road infrastructure,” the minister said.
