Special Operations Command and Strategic Pipeline Protection Department collaborate under Didgori 2025

As part of the inter-agency command and staff exercise Didgori 2025, the Special Operations Command of the Defence Forces and the Rapid Response Division of the Strategic Pipeline Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a joint field exercise, the Ministry of Defence has announced.

According to the ministry, the exercise was based on a simulated scenario in which representatives from both agencies were tasked with executing a “raid on the facility”, a mission which was completed.

“The field operations were overseen by representatives from various state agencies involved in the General Staff and the Interagency Operational Centre. In accordance with the scenario, they were responsible for setting subsequent objectives. The headquarters element was based at the Centre for Simulations, Communications and Information Systems in Krtsanisi.

The Didgori 2025 inter-agency command and staff exercise emphasises coordinated and joint actions, both at headquarters and field levels. Such exercises are vital for enhancing interoperability between different units, fostering the exchange of experience, and refining response strategies to potential challenges,” the ministry stated.
