The Georgian Roads Department reports about a special movement rule for motor transport at the Rikoti Pass of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze international significance highway.
Traffic movement has been restored for light vehicles under the special traffic rules, which implies that light vehicles are allowed to drive from 7 am to 7 pm, while trailers from 9 pm to 6 am.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the vehicles are moving under the strict supervision of the Patrol Police.
“Patrol Police are mobilized on different sections of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway and regulate road traffic to ensure smooth and safe movement of passengers,” MIA says.
Traffic movement was limited for all motor transport at the Rikoti Pass due to land sliding processes for several days.
