Special Investigation Service merges with Prosecutor's Office

The Special Investigation Service will be integrated into the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, the agency confirmed to the GPB First Channel.

According to the Service, further details will be made public once a legislative initiative is submitted to the Bureau of the Georgian Parliament.

“We confirm that the Special Investigation Service will merge with the Prosecutor’s Office. Additional information will be shared after the legislative initiative is submitted, which will outline the rationale and proposed changes in detail,” the agency stated.
