Special envoy of EUCO President meets ISFED representatives

Christian Danielsson, a special envoy of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, met representatives of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) and the NGO sector.

As ISFED Executive Director Nino Dolidze said after the meeting that the NGO introduced Christian Danielsson with the viewpoints how to drive out of the current political crisis.

“We expect that through such engagement of the EU, both sides of our politicians will decide to hold negotiations and reach a consensus about how the country should drive out from the current crisis,” Nino Dolidze said.

EU Ambassador Carl Hartzell and U.S. Ambassador Kelly Degnan also participated in the meeting with the NGO sector.

The special envoy of the President of the European Council arrived in Georgia with 3-day visit. The purpose of Danielsson’s visit is to mediate political dialogue between the ruling Georgian Dream party and the opposition initiated by EUCO President Charles Michel on March 1.
