Speaker: Some PACE members want to shout instead of pursuing dialogue

“Some members in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) want to shout instead of pursuing a dialogue,” said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

“As long as there is no respect for the Georgian people and their sovereignty and this esteemed assembly acts according to the directives from the Estonian, Lithuanian, or similar governments, which attempt to change the government in Georgia, the Georgian people will not participate in the debates. We see that some PACE members want to yell instead of pursuing dialogue as if they are fighting against something. Such behaviour is not a European value,” he said.
