Speaker says opposition suspiciously silent over pseudo-liberal propaganda
“The opposition is suspiciously silent, hiding from society. People see that and when the opposition heads for villages and cities, they will receive a response, because keeping silent means support of propaganda,” said Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.
According to the Speaker, the opposition does not engage or fix its stance on pseudo-liberal propaganda-related issues.
“They avoid this issue or want to disregard the issue. However, this is a serious issue. Nobody would imagine the British Prime Minister asserting five or 10 years ago that a woman is a woman and a man is a man. Whatever ridiculous it may sound, this is the situation in the UK. Our experience shows that gradually and through different financing, this flows to Georgia.
The stance of Georgian society should be clear. We offered open discussions to everybody, be it the opposition or the NGO sector, inviting them to join discussions and fix their stance,” the Speaker said.
