“Parties Lelo and Gakharia for Georgia are actively preparing for the upcoming local elections, but they are deceiving their supporters into believing they are great revolutionaries. In reality, they are turning Georgia’s history upside down and engaging in deceptive practices,” said Parliament Chairman Shalva Papuashvili.

According to him, this information is likely being concealed from the opposition voters.

“We all need to understand what preparation for elections entails. It means allocating funds, possibly strengthening party structures, offices, and resources. Primarily, it involves the allocation and expenditure of money. Do you think that swindlers like Khazaradze’s party will spend money on elections they know will not even take place? They start spending funds on what they believe will be real elections — the local self-government elections.

Additionally, in our small country, everyone knows everyone; when they talk about this, the information becomes very public. Especially when it concerns the entire country and regions, it’s impossible to hide what tasks they’ve been assigned or what actions they’re undertaking.

I want to emphasise that both Lelo and Gakharia for Georgia, along with other opposition parties, are well aware — or at least they are allegedly hiding — that these two parties are diligently preparing for the local elections,” Papuashvili stated.
