Speaker Responds to Carl Bildt: After 33 years of independence, others considering appointing viceroy in Georgia
Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili responded to a social media post by Carl Bildt, former Swedish Prime Minister and European Council Co-Chairman.
“This day has come—after 33 years of independence, others are now contemplating appointing a viceroy in Georgia,” Papuashvili stated.
Bildt had written: “The massive protests continue in Tbilisi and other places in Georgia. The situation will come to a head after December 29. Then the EU and others will also have to decide whom they consider the legitimate president of Georgia.”
