Speaker: Rasa Juknevičienė, distinguished by fascist statements, is author of report on Georgia 

“The European Parliament confirms that it is establishing itself day by day as the successor to the  Congress of People’s Deputies of the Soviet Union,” said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

According to the Speaker, representatives with a Soviet mentality sit in the European Parliament.

“Today they comfortably sit in the European Parliament, and I mean representatives from the Baltic States and some countries of Eastern Europe. Just as the Moscow Union Congress made hostile decisions regarding Georgia, the Brussels Union Parliament is making such hostile decisions today. The author of this resolution is Madam Juknevičienė, who is distinguished by fascist statements toward the Georgian people.

In several days, we will mark the Victory over Fascism Day and symbolically, the individual who is known for his fascist statements towards the Georgian people is the author of this report. She authored the statement that the Georgian Dream is an infection. This is a fascist narrative. She also stated that the culprits in Georgia are the voters of the Georgian Dream, thereby presenting us with collective responsibility, which is precisely a fascist approach,” he said.

With 53 votes in favour, 14 against, and 2 abstentions, the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee adopted a report on Georgia presented by MEP Rasa Juknevičienė.
