Speaker: New government is being formed in Czechia; people can see outcomes of Brussels' senseless policy

“A new government is being formed in Czechia, and the Czech population can see how far the senseless policy that Brussels has unfortunately pursued in recent times has led them. Now they are taking the opposite steps,” the Speaker of Georgia’s Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, told journalists.

According to Papuashvili, it is encouraging that the effort to defend against foreign influence is also being actively implemented in Czechia.

“We support the trend emerging in the European Union whereby forces oriented towards national interests and traditional values are coming to power. We are pleased that political parties that prioritise national interests and common sense are gaining ever more strength.

A new government is being formed in Czechia, and the Czech people can see clearly how the misguided policies that Brussels has, regrettably, pursued recently have brought them to this point. Now they are taking the opposite steps. It is encouraging that, in Czechia, efforts to defend against foreign influence, a reality and in the national interest, are also being put into practice.

Unfortunately, there are attempts within the European Union whereby certain Brussels structures treat EU member states not as member states, but speak to them in a patronising tone. It is good that, along with Hungary and Slovakia, Czechia is now voicing such approaches. In other countries, in Germany and France, we see greater awareness amongst citizens that national interests are decisive,” Papuashvili stated.

Papuashvili believes that Brussels’ misguided policies have caused the European Union to fall into economic stagnation.

“A space that was a space of peace and prosperity today speaks of the threats of war and economic crisis. Brussels bureaucrats have subjected the European Union to such treatment that they have turned a project of peace and prosperity into a space facing the risk of war and economic crisis,” Shalva Papuashvili stated.
