Speaker: Liberal fascism spawns hate-breeding groups in Georgia; liberal fascism is externally imposed ideology

“Charlie Kirk’s murder has clearly shown us that ideologues and agitators who sow hatred, hostility and malevolence poison the minds of vulnerable people, turning them into dehumanised beings and not just potential, but actual instruments of slaughter,” writes Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on social media.

According to Papuashvili, liberal fascism has spawned groups that breed hatred in Georgia as well. He maintains that liberal fascism, the ideological heir to Bolshevism, is also an externally imposed practice in Georgia.

“The tragedy that unfolded in America has shaken society worldwide, including people who had never even heard of conservative speaker Charlie Kirk before. This murder has once again clearly revealed to us the main tragedy: ideologues and agitators who sow hatred, hostility and malevolence, who poison the public space with fascist passion, corrupt the minds of vulnerable people, turning them into dehumanised beings and not just potential, but actual instruments of slaughter.

Liberal fascism has managed to create similar groups in Georgia as well; those who daily nurture an atmosphere of disgust and hatred. Just like the Bolshevism of a century ago, its ideological heir, liberal fascism, is an externally imposed, alien ideology and practice amongst us.

We witness their network activities daily. Everyone has their role in the network of spreading hatred. Party or NGO media, employing “Thousand Hills Free Radio and Television” (Radio Télévision Libre des Mille Collines, RTLM) methods, are occupied with amplifying fascist-ideological speakers and stirring up hatred towards opponents.

The ideologues of social networks, once recruited by others, now aim to gather their own followers. Some donors dismiss extremism as civic activism and provide lavish funding to support it. Meanwhile, some geopolitically interested foreign politicians or diplomats provide complete carte blanche through encouragement, words or support.

This is how an atmosphere of hatred is created, which poisons our daily life, our children and our future. To overcome this terrible plague, we need more sobriety and more kindness, which will inevitably triumph over evil.

Throughout our history, we have endured numerous disputes and internal conflicts. Our centuries-old cultural experience teaches us that evil cannot be cured by disgust, hatred, the guillotine and executions. It is cured by kindness and love. It is the foundation of our culture, which alien, imposed methods cannot uproot,” writes Papuashvili.
