Speaker: Issues that must be decided by Georgians should not be decided in any other capital

“The Georgian people say all the time that they are the masters of this country, and the issues that the Georgian people must decide should not be decided in any other capital,” stated Shalva Papuashvili, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.

Papuashvili was asked about Tina Bokuchava’s statement, saying “Our task is to make Brussels see that there is an alternative to the government, a coalition alternative of pro-Western parties that will come to power at the end of October.”

According to the Speaker “the opposition, based on their financing, is looking for legitimacy overseas.”

“We see that financing schemes are organized from abroad. Therefore, of course, they seek legitimacy abroad, not from the Georgian people. We have legitimacy from the Georgian people,” Papuashvili added.
