Speaker meets President of Council of States of Switzerland

The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashviliand his accompanying delegation were hosted by the President of the Council of States of Switzerland, Eva Herzog at the official dinner.

The parties gave a positive assessment of the years-old cooperating between Georgia and Switzerland. According to Mr. Papuashvili, the support of Switzerland for the territorial integrity of Georgia, the peaceful resolution of the conflict and the democratic and socio-economic development of the country is of utmost value.

The parties overviewed the ties between the legislative bodies of the two countries, including the significance of the high-level visits. The priority directions of bilateral cooperation were highlighted.

Within the official dinner, the parties discussed the activity of the Georgian Parliament, international security challenges and the plans of Georgia for EU integration.
