“I attended the 66th General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) alongside the parliamentary delegation in Sofia, Bulgaria, on November 23-24, where Georgia took over the chairmanship of the organization from Bulgaria for the next 6 months,” said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili at the plenary.
According to the Speaker, Georgia presented its priorities during its chairmanship.
“We presented our priorities during our chairmanship, including connectivity, economic cooperation, intensification and support of parliamentary diplomacy. The BSEC PA will be held in the summer of 2026. We want to use the Georgian Parliament’s chairmanship of the Assembly to further advance the Black Sea, the Middle Corridor, as a bridge connecting Europe and Asia, in its parliamentary dimension. I congratulate you all on the assumption of the BSEC PA for the next 6 months,” he said.
