Speaker commends ex-PM Garibashvili for preventing Georgia from being dragged into war by Deep State
“Irakli Garibashvili’s greatest merit is that the Deep State was unable to drag Georgia into war,” stated the Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.
According to him, Garibashvili has also made significant strides in other areas, including managing the pandemic and stabilising the economy.
“Irakli Garibashvili played a decisive role in ensuring Georgia was not dragged into war. His clear and unwavering stance set the tone for all branches of government and various institutions, making it clear that Georgia would not sacrifice its citizens or its sovereignty for a puppet war into which we were being dragged.
Moreover, Georgia has achieved notable progress in handling the pandemic and in economic stability. Irakli Garibashvili has now stepped back from politics, as he announced. It is a great merit of his that the Deep State was unable to force Georgia into war,” said Shalva Papuashvili.
