Speaker: Certain actions by ambassadors and bureaucrats undermine European unity
“What some ambassadors and bureaucrats do is anti-Europe,” declared Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, during a live broadcast on Imedi TV.
“For many years, the United States has dominated global and European policy shaping. The U.S. established the primary directives that the EU and many of its member states followed, particularly concerning war issues.
However, with the change in administration, these directives shifted, leading some to distance themselves from previous alignments. This transition has perplexed the EU bureaucracy, exacerbated by a lack of qualifications among certain officials.
The European Union encompasses millions of people, diverse countries, and a variety of political forces. We should not diminish ourselves by assuming that others are inherently more knowledgeable than we are; the Estonian Foreign Minister exemplifies this issue clearly,” the Speaker concluded.
