Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze on Sunday said minors are among those who died as a result of a devastating landslide in western Shovi resort.
The death toll in the landslide-hit Shovi resort of the Oni Municipality rose to 18, the Interior Ministry said on Sunday.
As of now, eighteen people remain missing. Over 200 people have been moved to a safe area.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili declared Monday, August 7, a Day of Mourning.
A deadly landslide struck the resort on August 3.
