Short rains, thunderstorms, and strong winds forecasted for July 16-17
The National Environment Agency has issued a weather forecast predicting short rains, thunderstorms, hailstorms, and strong winds on July 16-17.
In Tbilisi and the Black Sea regions (Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia, and Poti), short showers are expected, with daytime temperatures reaching +33 to +35°C in Tbilisi and +28 to +32°C in western Georgia.
Strong winds are anticipated in the mountainous areas of western Georgia, including Mestia and Bakhmaro.
Eastern regions such as Shida Kartli (Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori, Tskhinvali) and Kakheti (Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta, Dedoplistskaro) are also forecasted to experience short rains and hailstorms, with daytime temperatures between +34 and +36°C.
In the mountainous zones of eastern Georgia, temperatures are expected to range from +20 to +25°C.
