The ship Ocean Grand loaded with 14 000 tons of wheat entered the Poti port from the United States, Revenue Service reported.
The cargo customs control procedures are underway at the customs checkpoint “Poti and Kulevi ports and Poti free industrial zone”.
The cargo is the first of the three shipments that arrived in Georgia and will be available for sale at the private sector market. The money will be invested in programs for agriculture development.
Georgia ensures the international transit shipments in the region in 24-hour regime amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
