Serbian President to President Kavelashvili: Serbia and Georgia share common values anchored in Orthodox faith
The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has expressed his gratitude to the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, for the exceptional and warm hospitality extended to him during his official visit to Georgia.
As noted in the Serbian President’s letter, the Republic of Serbia and Georgia are far more than just two nations that enjoy good bilateral relations.
“Your Excellency,
Let me express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional and warm hospitality shown to my delegation and me in your beautiful country. From the very moment of our arrival in Tbilisi, the cordial and fraternal relationship that exists between our nations was plain to see.
The Republic of Serbia and Georgia are more than just two countries with well-established bilateral relations; we share common values and an intertwined history, anchored in our Orthodox Christian faith, which has withstood the harsh test of time.
I was particularly impressed by the rapid pace of Georgia’s progress, and by the government’s clear determination to deliver tangible results for the country.
I am confident our cooperation is just beginning, and it will benefit our business communities and the people we share a deep, long-standing friendship. Your hospitality really came to life when you introduced me to the beauty of Kakheti, showing off its rich culture, winemaking traditions, and historic monasteries.
As I look forward to the further deepening of our relations and fraternal ties, I avail myself of this opportunity to renew to Your Excellency the assurances of my highest consideration,” the letter concludes.
