Senators call on US President to demand from Russia stopping of occupation and support of separatists
The US Senate presented a new draft-bill about the imposition of stronger sanctions against Russia.
According to Georgian Foreign Ministry, Robert Menendez, Senator from New Jersey, Lindsey Olin Graham, Senator from South Carolina, Cory Scott Gardner, Senator for Colorado, Benjamin Louis Cardin, Senator from Maryland and Cynthia Jeanne Shaheen, senior United States Senator from New Hampshire submitted a draft-bill Defending American Security from Kremlin Aggression Act of 2019, DASKA to the US Senate on February 13. The draft-project aims at the increase of economic, political and diplomatic pressure on Russia.
Likewise other draft-projects prepared by the US Senate and Congress in the part, the draft-bill provides provisions in support of Georgia. Based on the document, the US President should publicly demand from Russia stopping of support of separatists in Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, and strengthening of the regime of Bashar al-Assad which commits military crimes.
