Senator Jim Risch congratulates Georgia on Independence Day

The Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Jim Risch, congratulates Georgia on Independence Day.

“Celebrating democracy and freedom of speech go hand in hand. So it’s fitting to see Georgia mark its 30th independence day as Voice of America / Georgian Service celebrates its 70th birthday. The U.S. is a proud friend of Georgia, and we look forward to watching Georgian democracy continue to grow”,  the senator said in a congratulatory address.
