Self-Governance Committee Chair: West lacks realistic perception of Georgia; they bet on individual who renounced his citizenship, entered country at instruction of another nation’s intelligence services
„Mikheil Saakashvili believes that it would be better that not only Georgia but half of the world united around him,“ said Irakli Kadagishvili, Chair of the parliamentary Self-Governance Committee.
According to Kadagishvili, in fact, Saakashvili and his party have different goals.
“The situation for these parties and their partners is such that they no longer even wish to hold a meeting legally within Georgia. They go somewhere in secret; then it becomes known and becomes fodder for all sorts of rumours and speculation, creating a reality they and their patrons invented.
Whether it was recommended to form a coalition around Saakashvili or without him is no longer of any interest. This indicates that the West lacks a realistic perception regarding Georgia, or, alternatively, that their objectives concerning Georgia were fundamentally flawed.
They bet on an individual who was convicted for numerous crimes, who renounced his citizenship, and who entered the country at the behest of the special services of another country.
What matters to them is not democratic principles but to bring into power the government, which will act in a geopolitical disorder as told, with total confrontation with Russia that will be destructive for Georgia,” he said.
