Salome Zurabishvili – Difficult way is ahead, this is uninterrupted history
“As being the Commander-In-Chief, I will be on guard of Georgia’s independence,” Salome Zurabishvili, an independent presidential candidate, stated during the meeting with voters in Zugdidi town of western Samegrelo region.
Zurabishvili said that her ancestors left big obligation to her, to do something valuable for the country. “Georgia’s independence was unachievable for many people, not only my family but all those people with who I grew up lived with the faith that Georgia would regain independence,” she said.
Zurabishvili underlined that preservation of independence is a difficult and constant struggle is needed for that. “Difficult way is ahead, this is an uninterrupted history and I will be one of the participants of this struggle,” she claimed. Zurabishvili also called on supporters for joining efforts for unification of the country.
