Salome Zurabishvili and Giorgi Margvelashvili met at Avlabari Presidential Residence

The face-to-face meeting between President-elect Salome Zurabishvili and the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili has been held at Avlabari Presidential Residence earlier this afternoon.

The sides discussed the issues related to the process of handing over the authority, as well as Georgia’s internal and external policies.

Giorgi Margvelashvili congratulated Salome Zurabishvili on election as president of Georgia and wished her success.

For her part, President-elect thanked President Margvelashvili for the transfer of power in a democratic environment.
