“I want to appeal to judges, public officials, everyone who is involved in repression in various ways and tell them that you can still come to your senses and not collaborate with this regime since you will be held morally responsible before society,” said ex-president Salome Zourabichvili.
Salome Zourabichvili assessed the UK’s sanctioning of high-ranking officials, including judges, prosecutors and investigators, as significant since these people were “responsible for the implementation of repression.”
The ex-president remarked that the Resistance Platform did not wish to see retribution in the future. However, “moral responsibility is hard when you look into society’s eyes someday.”
“Read the Georgian Charter. It mentions no word of vengeance but is oriented on abolishment of the Russian rule and all repressive laws, which were passed and are adopted daily. The Charter speaks about the court system’s reform because this country must finally see a truly fair justice,” she said.
