Salary of school teachers to be increased in 2020

The salary of school teachers will be increased and reach 300 GEL by 2020 academic year, – Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated during today’s special Cabinet meeting reviewing the 2020 budget.

“The salaries will increase for full-time teachers in both this and next year. Consequently, their raise by the 2020 academic year will reach 300 GEL,” Giorgi Gakharia said.

According to him, in the 2020 academic year, salaries for kindergarten teachers will grow by an average of 100 GEL.
